At the heart of Pro18 is a story of friendship, fairways, and a shared vision to bring something new to the game of golf. Meet Gaz Johnson and Gaz Davies – lifelong mates, golf nuts since the age of nine, and the driving force behind the brand that’s rewriting the rules of golf wear.
From Junior Golfers to Co-Founders
Gaz and Gaz grew up together on the course, part of a tight-knit crew of around 15 junior golfers – all single-figure handicappers, many of whom are still friends (and still dangerous on the scorecard) to this day. Some turned professional, some stayed amateur, but one thing never changed: the game has always been the glue.
Between rounds, there were always conversations – about swing tweaks, tour events, but also bigger ideas. "What if we started something?" was a regular topic. But it wasn’t just about a business — it was about a brand that reflected us, the younger generation of golfers who love the game but don't always see themselves in the stiff, traditional image the sport tends to promote.
Golfers were becoming stronger, more athletic, more expressive… but the clothing? Still stuck in the past.
